Queen of the South were relegated from the Scottish First Division after Raith secure a vital three points in a 3-1 win at Stark's Park.
The hosts took the lead in the 15th minute when Brian Graham was on hand to fire home Joe Hamill's cross.
John Baird went close to an immediate second but Lee Robinson did well to keep his volley out.
The next chance for the hosts to extend their lead fell to Grant Murray but he put his header wide from inside the six-yard box.
Sam Parkin enjoyed a glorious opening for the visitors but his header was tipped over the crossbar by David McGurn.
And Parkin was made to pay when Baird doubled Raith's advantage 10 minutes after the restart when he turned in Jamie Walker's cross.
The Doonhamers pulled a goal back four minutes later when Daniel Carmichael pounced on Parkin's knock down, but Rovers' victory was all but ensured when substitute Pat Clarke netted from close range deep into stoppage time.
