AC Milan has announced the capture of promising goalkeeper Gabriel from Cruzeiro for an undisclosed fee.
The Rossoneri was in the market for a new shot-stopper due to the departure of third-choice glovesman Flavio Roma, and has now found its man to become the understudy to Christian Abbiati and Marco Amelia.
"Gabriel will be registered in the Lega Serie A in the next few weeks and will join the team in pre-season training on July 9," a statement on the official Milan website reads.
The 19-year-old goalkeeper is a product of the Cruzeiro youth academy, and has been capped at Under-20 level for Brazil.
Gabriel will be the third addition to the Milan squad for next season following the captures of Riccardo Montolivo from Fiorentina and Bakaye Traore from Nancy.
