Denmark have studied how Germany, Netherlands and Portugal will play, says Agger

Daniel Agger has shrugged off concerns about Denmark's ability to deal with their Group B opponents in Euro 2012.

The Danes have been tipped as the underdogs in a Group of Death that also contains perennial favourites Germany, Netherlands and Portugal. But the Liverpool centre-back showed no fear at the prospect of facing world-class individual opponents in Poland and Ukraine.

"I play against such players every week in the Premier League, it is nothing new for me," Agger told Kicker.

"We studied every team and know how they will attack us. Cristiano Ronaldo mainly springs from the left wing, [Robin] van Persie likes to run from deep, [Mario] Gomez and [Klaas-Jan] Huntelaar are fox-in-the-box types and [Miroslav] Klose cuts inside from both wings.

"If we play the attacking football we have displayed so far, an upset is on the cards," he warned.

The Danish captain oversaw his side's poor performance against Brazil in last Saturday's friendly when an experimental Selecao side took less than 15 minutes to lead 2-0 against Morten Olsen's side, before eventually prevailing 3-1.

However Agger refused to read too much into his team's outing, citing Germany's surprise defeat to Switzerland as an example of warm-up games failing to reflect a side's true worth.

"I am not too concerned about those," Agger told kicker.de

"We made a couple of individual errors which we should not have made against such an opponent, but we will seek to minimise those before the tournament starts. We must remain positive if we are to attain any success."

Denmark kick off their Euro 2012 campaign against 2010 World Cup runners-up Netherlands on June 9.
