AVB poised to land Spurs job ahead of Blanc after impressing during talks

Andre Villas-Boas is set to be unveiled as Tottenham's new manager by the beginning of next week.
The Portuguese is growing increasingly confident he has seen off the challenge of France boss Laurent Blanc to land the job.
And Sportsmail understands the club are finalising a three-year deal for the 34-year-old, who could be revealed as Harry Redknapp’s successor on July 1.

Impressive vision: Andre Villas-Boas is confident he will be hired by Spurs
Villas-Boas and his representatives have held extensive talks with the Spurs hierarchy about stepping into the vacant hot seat.
The former Chelsea boss has received positive feedback from the north London club, raising his expectation that he will be the next manager.
And despite his ill-fated spell at Stamford Bridge, where he was sacked after only eight months in charge, Villas-Boas is said to have impressed Tottenham’s top officials with his vision for the club during last week’s negotiations.
Barring any last-minute hitches, he will be installed as the new manager in the next few days.
Tottenham want Villas-Boas to begin work on July 1 for many contractual and legal reasons. He is also expected to work closely alongside Tim Sherwood at White Hart Lane.
