BROTHERS IN ARMS ... Aguero and Tevez are close
PABLO ZABALETA reckons the ‘Three Amigos’ are ready to spearhead Manchester City’s title defence.
There has been massive speculation about the future of big-money strikers Carlos Tevez and Sergio Aguero since City’s last-day triumph against QPR.
But Argie Zabaleta insists he and his two fellow countrymen have returned to the Etihad refreshed and ready after getting a hero’s reception back home in South America.
Zaba said: “We made people happy back there. It was special for the whole country because we had three Argentinians in the squad — three Amigos.”
The trio are among the City players being put through their paces by boss Roberto Mancini at the foot of the Alps in Austria.
The full-back added: “You can see people are happy and very focused on training.
“Hopefully, we can do the same as we did last season. We have more pressure on us now because we are the champions but it’s a good challenge.”
