Welsh side The New Saints put up a brave performance to hold Swedish champions Helsingborgs to a goalless draw in their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round first leg clash in Oswestry.
New signing Chris Jones hit the post as the hosts dominated the game for long periods.
But ultimately the Saints were unable to gain an advantage ahead of next Wednesday's return game in Sweden.
