Villas-Boas convinced teenage hitman Kane is up to leading Spurs line

Spurs boss Andre Villas-Boas is prepared to put his faith in teenage striker Harry Kane for the start of his side’s Premier League season.
Villas-Boas has so far been frustrated in his attempts to sign Brazilian Leandro Damiao, an Olympic silver medallist, and Manchester City’s Emmanuel Adebayor.

He has Jermaine Defoe as his senior striker for the opener at Newcastle on Saturday, so rapid promotion for 19-year-old Kane is likely before Spurs move on any transfer business.
The young centre forward impressed on loan at Championship Millwall last season and been tipped for full England honours.
