FEELING BLUE ... Fernando Torres
RUUD GULLIT reckons Fernando Torres’ Chelsea career could be finished.
The Spaniard has found the net just four times despite starting every Premier League game this term.
And former Blues boss Gullit reckons Roman Abramovich may need to replace the misfiring forward if the club are to challenge for honours this season.
The Dutchman, 50, said: “They wanted to give Torres a chance. Has he taken it? I don’t know.
“What he had done in the past at Liverpool and at Atletico was unbelievable. And he can’t do it for some reason. I don’t know why, I have no clue. It’s a mystery.
“But if he can’t do it then Chelsea need to do something else.”
Gullit has also written off his former side’s chance of retaining the Champions League.
Roberto Di Matteo’s side currently sit second behind Shakhtar Donetsk in Group E with a tough
away tie at Juventus up next.
And asked if Chelsea could win it again, Gullit added: “I don’t think so. I think it was a surprise
to win it last year.
“They’ve tried to change the way they play. But they have to work hard to get to the last stages.
“They are in a transition. Di Matteo has bought some players that can play a more attacking way, a more spectacular way, and they do occasionally.
“But it takes some time to adjust so there will be ups and downs.”
