RAP ... Gus Poyet and assistant manager Mauricio Taricco
BRIGHTON sensationally suspended boss Gus Poyet last night.
His assistant Mauricio Taricco and first-team coach Charlie Oatway have also been told to stay away from the Amex.
An investigation is now pending at the Championship club into the trio’s behaviour and incidents before, during and after Monday’s play-off loss at home to Crystal Palace.
Club chiefs are said to be furious with post-match comments from Poyet that criticised the club’s ambition and spending.
Sources claim Poyet and his staff have had a string of disagreements with club bosses. His suspension has fuelled talk he is lined up for a job elsewhere.
And he has been linked with jobs at Everton, Fulham and Malaga.
In a statement, Brighton said: “The club has confirmed it has suspended its manager, assistant manager and first-team coach from their duties.
“The club will now follow its internal procedures with regard to this matter and will make no further comment at this time.”
