Bundesliga sides make early start

Eintracht Braunschweig were among the Bundesliga teams to commence pre-season training on Sunday with coach Torsten Lieberknecht chomping at the bit.
Braunschweig ended a 28-year exodus from the top flight by gaining promotion from the 2. Bundesliga last month.
They, along with Nuremberg, Augsburg and Hertha Berlin, were being put through the paces for the first time today as preparations for the new season commenced.
"It's going to be a huge challenge, but we want to give it a go and create a few upsets in the Bundesliga," said Lieberknecht.
"It's fantastic that we can drive down the motorway and not have to drive past Gelsenkirchen and Dortmund and see the grounds only from the outside.
"We're really looking forward to being able to play at the highest level ourselves."
Braunschweig will begin their first Bundesliga campaign since 1984/85 with a home game against northern Germany rivals Werder Bremen, and they have now started working towards that game.
They will be keen to avoid a similar fate to that of Greuther Furth and Fortuna Dusseldorf, who last month were relegated after just one season among the elite.
