Alloa vs Cowdenbeath preview - McManus set for Alloa goodbye

On-loan Aberdeen striker Declan McManus is included for the last time for Alloa before returning to Pittodrie when Cowdenbeath visit the Wasps.

Ben Gordon is available after suspension and Eddie Ferns returns after illness with Graeme Holmes included despite a knock.

But Stephen Simmons is expected to miss out after being struck down by a virus.

Manager Paul Hartley said: "Just because we are at home and facing a team below us is no reason for their work rate to drop. I am sure it won't.

"Cowdenbeath beat Dundee recently and that is warning enough."

Cowdenbeath travel to Recreation Park with Greg Stewart out with a hamstring injury and Dean Brett also absent due to a heel problem.

David Cowan is still struggling with a groin injury as manager Jimmy Nicholl looks for his men to make up for a disappointing performance on Saturday when they went down 2-0 to Queen of the South.

Nicholl said: "After playing so well against Dundee and Raith Rovers and picking up points we were really poor at the weekend.

"We have shown what a good side we can be and I want us to get back to that level against Alloa."
