Juventus vs Atalanta preview

Juventus are in celebratory mood heading into Monday's home game against Atalanta after clinching their 30th Italian title.

Roma's surprise 4-1 defeat at Catania on Sunday left the Giallorossi unable to catch Juve with only two games to play.

Juve came up short in their Champions League and Europa League campaigns, but have now won three straight Scudetti to confirm their domestic dominance.

"To have won the third straight Scudetto is something exceptional," Juven striker Carlos Tevez said.

"The Italian league is the most difficult one because it is very tactical and we are delighted."

Tevez, Juve's top scorer with 19 league goals, says the achievement was made with a complete team effort.

"This is not Tevez's Scudetto but that of the whole team," he said.

Antonio Conte's men head into the encounter in Turin after seeing their hopes of playing in the Europa League final ended on Thursday.

Juventus, who lost 2-1 at Benfica in the first leg, were held to a goalless draw in the return leg.

The backbone of Juve's success in Serie A was their terrific form at home.

They have won all of their home games at the Juventus Stadium, where opponents have scored a combined nine goals.

The Bianconeri have lost just twice in the league and are still on course to become the first club in Italy to break the 100-point barrier.

They have 93 points before the clash with Atalanta, with two further matches to follow.

Rivals Atalanta, coached by Stefano Colantuono, are 11th in the standings and have nothing to play for except pride.

The Bergamaschi drew 1-1 last time out to see their winless run extended to four games.

"We want to finish as high as possible in the standings and we will go out for a win," Colantuono said.
