Cowdenbeath look for their first league win of the season when Fife rivals Raith visit, with Sammy Stewart again missing through a groin injury.
Goalkeeper Thomas Flynn, as well as John Armstrong and Kenny Adamson are doubts, with manager Jimmy Nicholl pleased with his side despite their Scottish League Cup exit at Falkirk in midweek on penalties.
Nicholl said: "We were very poor last Saturday when we lost 3-0 to Alloa but were a lot better at Falkirk. Hopefully that is the start of a good run of form.
"We will need that as Raith are looking to bounce back after a couple of recent disappointments."
Raith will give striker Christian Nade a fitness check before manager Grant Murray names his side.
Craig Barr's knee injury and Dougie Hill's groin problem see them remain out , but Calum Elliot is expected to be available.
Murray said: "After a couple of disappointing scorelines we have the chance to put that right. We want to get those games out of our system and winning this one would help.
"Our games with Cowdenbeath are usually filled with goals, penalties and sending offs. Hopefully for the fans this one will be actioned packed but we come out on top."
