City give up chasing Isco

The relationship between Isco and Real is better than ever. The ties between them are strong, with the man from Malaga happy with the club and the club delighted with his progress.

So much so that the player's pretenders waiting outside his window for the first signs of any falling out have decided to throw in the towel and go home.

Pellegrini's Manchester City, the club trying to woo the player, have called it a day and after having tried on various occasions to dress him in their colours, have decided to desist. Although he started out on the bench, Ancelotti treated him more as his 12th man and when the players began to fall injured (Bale and Modric), Isco soon showed just how important he was to the team. He has now played in 18 matches, 10 of them as a starter, amounting to a total of 998 minutes.

With things as they stand, the English club has given up on its mission to take the player to Manchester. He is playing, he feels important and loved where he is and Pellegrini and co. have run out of ideas to win him over.
