Al Jazira have signed South Korea's Park Jong-woo on a three-year deal from Chinese Super League club Guangzhou R&F.
The defender, who completed his medical on Sunday, as been brought in to help bolster Al Jazira's defence after they conceded 46 goals in the Arabian Gulf League last season, a record that was only better than Ajman (60) and Kalba (63), both of whom were relegated.
"The player will be unveiled to the media at a news conference at a later date," a statement on the club's official website said.
Park comes in as a replacement for Jucilei da Silva who was off-loaded to Shandong Luneng after failing to make a sufficient impact during his one-and-a-half seasons with the club.
In addition to Park, Al Jazira have also signed attacking midfielder Thiago Neves from Al Hilal after he scored 23 goals in 38 appearances for the Saudi Arabian side.
