Arsenal fan bought Karim Benzema shirt after being convinced transfer from Real Madrid was on

Karim Benzema left Arsenal fans in need of urgent psychological help on Monday after confirming on Twitter that he would not be leaving Real Madrid.

Deep down we all knew that would be the case, but it didn’t make the pill any less bitter to swallow.

And for one particularly over-confident Arsenal fan, Benzema’s decision has left him out of pocket.

Apparently conned into believing that the Frenchman was coming to north London, this fan seemingly tried to beat the rush by getting a ‘Benzema 9’ Arsenal away shirt printed.

Of course, the jersey is now utterly redundant, but that’s probably a good thing given the apparent quality of the printing job – look how far the M and A are away from each other.

Expect to see this on eBay very soon…
