Lazio head coach Stefano Pioli is determined to claim some silverware this season and has run the rule over the other Scudetto contenders.
The Biancocelesti currently occupy third place in the Serie A standings, having won their last three matches on the trot, but Pioli is adamant that only trophies can write his name in the history books.
"Great coaches are appreciated when they begin winning something," he told Il Corriere dello Sport. "And if I want to be considered great then I have to start winning too. That's what I'd like to do with Lazio.
"I like it here, I'm happy and proud to be the Biancocelesti coach. The dream and the objective is to win something. Winning means winning a competition, it doesn't matter which one.
"We could have done that but we didn't, it's a shame. Last year we proved we could have won the Coppa Italia. It would be important for our work and for what we're trying to build."
Fiorentina and Inter Milan currently lead the league table, with derby rivals Roma just one point behind Le Aquile and Napoli down in sixth, while AC Milan and Juventus are languishing further down the table.
"Napoli were already strong last year, they have great quality," Pioli added. "Juventus, Roma, Napoli and perhaps Inter have something above the others.
"We come after them, alongside Fiorentina. There's a cluster of high-level teams. I believe in my team, but I also believe there are some values that have to be respected. Right now Juventus and Roma are the strongest teams in the championship."
