Cambridge United 1 - 4 AFC Wimbledon: Dons too good for Cambridge

AFC Wimbledon displayed a clinical touch to win 4-1 at Cambridge, thus ending their opponents' six-game unbeaten run in Sky Bet League Two.

The Dons took a 10th-minute lead through Paul Robinson, who converted George Francomb's corner with a firm downward header.

The U's responded with an equaliser from a corner of their own after 26 minutes, Harrison Dunk crossing for Luke Berry to head beyond James Shea.

Mark Roberts almost gave Cambridge the lead from another set piece, getting a flick on Dunk's free-kick which was clutched by Shea.

In the second half Robinson met another Francomb delivery but headed wide before the visitors ran riot in the final half an hour.

They went ahead again on 64 minutes when Lyle Taylor volleyed home after good work on the right by Barry Fuller and extended their lead 14 minutes from the end when Jon Meades blasted Taylor's pass beyond Sam Beasant.

Substitute Adebayo Azeez secured the Dons' second away success of the week four minutes from the end, rounding Beasant on the break and making it 4-1.
