Lille OSC 1 - 1 Stade Rennais FC: Lille held by Rennes after Sofiane Boufal sees red
Posted Sunday, February 07, 2016 by PA
Ten-man Lille were held at home by Rennes in a 1-1 draw that saw Sofiane Boufal dismissed for the hosts.
Lille grabbed the lead just before the interval when Rennes gave away an unnecessary corner and Eder poked home at the back post for his first goal since joining from Swansea.
The hosts' afternoon took a turn for the worse when Boufal was shown a second yellow card in succession for a foul on Pedro Mendes and Rennes took full advantage late on.
Adama Soumaoro brought down Paul-Georges Ntep and, following a lengthy debate, Dembele coolly slotted home the spot-kick to earn the visitors a point.
