Airdrie will welcome back midfielder Hugo Faria from a one-game suspension for their Scottish League One clash against Stranraer.

However, David Cox starts a three-match ban after he was sent off in last week's 3-2 defeat at Stenhousemuir.

Manager Eddie Wolecki Black is looking for his side to defeat the Stair Park men to kick-off a run of home games where wins could turn them into play-off contenders.

He said: "We have four out of our next five games at home and getting good results would really strengthen our position in the table. We have picked up better results on our travels and it would be great if we can turn that around starting against Stranraer."

Stranraer will have Mark McGuigan available again after his recovery from from illness, while Scott Rumsby also returns following a suspension.

David Barron will miss out after suffering an ankle injury against Albion Rovers last weekend.

Injuries have also ruled out goalkeeper David McGurn (toe), Lee Mair (groin), Chris Aitken (calf) and Craig Malcolm (knee).

Manager Brian Reid said: "We played out a goalless draw with Albion Rovers last weekend but it is a game that we should have won. We dominated but we missed chances and we cannot afford to be like that again."
