Alloa Athletic 1 - 1 Raith Rovers: Kyle Benedictus earns Raith dramatic point at Alloa
Posted Sunday, March 13, 2016 by PA
Alloa's winless run stretched to nine matches after Kyle Benedictus' injury-time equaliser earned Raith a 1-1 draw at Recreation Park.
Raith peppered Scott Gallacher's goal during a first half they controlled but Ryan Hardie and Lewis Toshney were among those denied denied by the Alloa goalkeeper.
Steven Hetherington made the visitors pay for their profligacy by drilling one past Gallacher into the bottom left corner after 64 minutes.
But Joel Thomas set up Benedictus to level at the death to leave Alloa waiting for their first win since January 12 - when they beat Raith 1-0 at Stark's Park.
