Ipswich vs Blackburn - Ipswich defender Kevin Foley set to return against Blackburn
Posted Tuesday, March 15, 2016 by PA
Kevin Foley should return to the Ipswich squad for the visit of Blackburn.
The Irish defender missed Saturday's 1-0 defeat by Cardiff after suffering a rib injury against Bolton.
Reserve goalkeeper Dean Gerken is also expected to return on the bench after illness ruled him out at the weekend.
Striker David McGoldrick is on target to make his comeback following a torn hamstring at the start of next month.
Blackburn have no new injuries for the trip but Paul Lambert may choose to rest midfielder Jordi Gomez.
Rovers are playing their 10th game in 31 days and Gomez was withdrawn in the second half of the 2-1 loss against Leeds, so Craig Conway could be among those in consideration.
Lambert admitted the gruelling fixture list means he will have to consider rotation for either this fixture or Saturday's trip to Brentford, and Corry Evans and Matt Grimes could be involved in any shake-up.
Rovers' Under-21s team played on Monday afternoon and injured trio Jason Lowe (foot), Nathan Delfouneso (knee) and Danny Guthrie (hamstring) were all involved.
