Greenock Morton 0 - 1 Raith Rovers: James Craigen winner against Morton moves Raith closer to play-off place
Posted Sunday, March 27, 2016 by PA
James Craigen's second-half goal all-but secured Raith's place in the Scottish Championship play-offs as they won 1-0 at Morton.
Morton pushed to get on the scoresheet before the interval, with Bobby Barr, Stefan McCluskey and Luca Gasparotto all sending in shots which went narrowly wide of Kevin Cuthbert's goal.
However, it would be Raith who found the back of the net first as Craigen slotted past Derek Gaston in the 53rd minute after a Ross Callachan assist.
Declan McManus' deflected effort went over and Cuthbert tipped over McCluskey's strike as Morton fell 13 points behind fourth-placed Raith with five games remaining.
