Cowdenbeath vs Brechin City - Colin Nish delays naming team after several players miss training

Cowdenbeath manager Colin Nish has delayed naming his side to face Brechin after a bug saw several players miss training earlier this week.

Definitely out are the injured Jamie Sneddon (thigh) and Fraser Kerr (hand).

Nish said: "This is one of the most important games of the season for both clubs. Having beaten Peterhead and Ayr recently I am happy with the form we are displaying but Brechin have picked up five wins from six so they will be confident as well.

"A win puts us five points clear with three games to go which would be a decent cushion however we will need to play well to win."

Brechin are without the banned Jonathan Tiffoney, however Willie Dyer comes back into player/ manager Darren Dods' plans after a one game suspension.

Dods is out with a thigh strain and David Weatherston joins him on the sidelines with an ankle problem.

The Glebe Park boss said: "This is an opportunity to get off the bottom of the table and hopefully we will take it. We have had opportunities in the past and not taken them so we have to look to go one better this time.

"Both sides are in winning form and have tightened up defensively so it will be a very interesting afternoon."
