Albion Rovers FC vs Cowdenbeath - Ally Love banned as Albion host Cowdenbeath
Posted Friday, April 15, 2016 by PA
Albion will be missing the suspended Ally Love when they host a Cowdenbeath side looking to move another step closer to safety.
Paul Willis returns after injury and Callum McRobbie is available following illness, however player-manager Darren Young (knee). Darren Petrie (toe) and Andrew Barrowman (calf) are all out.
Young said: "Cowdenbeath will be well up for this game but it is a big game for us as well. If we win we could well be back in the driving seat for the play-offs.
"We played really well to win down at Ayr last Saturday and need another performance at that level to get the three points."
Cowdenbeath are without on-loan Livingston midfielder Kieran Gibbons due to suspension.
Jamie Sneddon is also missing with a thigh injury and Fraser Kerr occupies the sidelines due to a broken hand.
Manager Colin Nish said: "We secured a great win over Brechin last weekend but I am honest enough to admit that we did not play well. We were playing to a much higher standard in the three games leading up to that one and I want us to get back to that level.
"We are still not out of relegation issues, however winning this game would take us really close to being safe."
