Noble on life after Upton Park
West Ham captain Mark Noble believes the team will replicate their home form and continue challenging the Premiership's elite at the Olympic Stadium.

As the Hammers start to prepare for their move from Upton Park, Noble reflected on the time he's spent at the iconic stadium.

"We are leaving a place that I have been coming to for over 20 years, first as a supporter," the 29-year-old midfielder said in an interview with FourFourTwo.

"Every other weekend it's going to be strange to get in my car in the morning and drive to a game, and not down a street I know so well.

"Now we have to take the special atmosphere of Upton Park to the new stadium. It's going to be tough, because this place is special, but we need to take this with us."

Slaven Bilic's seventh-placed side face Manchester United on Tuesday in a match that, should they win by a two-goal margin, would see them leapfrog Southampton and the Red Devils into fifth position.

Noble believes the east Londoners' resurgence could be the start of a successful period for the club, perhaps one that could build the foundation for consistently challenging the bigger clubs for European football.

"How big could this club be? I don't think there is a ceiling," he said. "Everybody has seen what happened to Manchester City, to Chelsea, over the years.

"With people in the world these days with a lot of money to burn, anything can happen."
