Rummenigge: Best that Gotze leaves

Bayern München CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge believes Mario Gotze would be better suited to seeking regular first-team football elsewhere.
The Germany international declared his intentions to fight for his place under incoming coach Carlo Ancelotti, despite being told he has no future at the Allianz Arena.
Gotze has been linked with a return to BVB Dortmund, while Liverpool have also expressed an interest in reuniting the 23-year-old midfielder with former BVB head coach Jurgen Klopp.
National team boss Joachim Low and team manager Oliver Bierhoff both welcomed the World Cup winner’s stance, but Rummenigge feels it would be in Gotze’s best interests to move on during the upcoming transfer window.
“We made everything clear to Mario. He knows what the club thinks and he knows what the future coach thinks,” Rummenigge told Kicker. “Mario has to consider for himself whether he wants to constantly get minutes.
“I talked to him, also Ancelotti. Mario knows Bayern’s thoughts. Maybe he just wants to go into the European Championship without any speculation.”
