Roma have excercised their option to complete the permanent signing of full-back Antonio Rudiger following his successful loan spell at the club last season.
The Germany international had been linked with a move to Chelsea this summer, but the Stadio Olimpico outfit have paid Stuttgart €9 million to acquire his services.
The Italian club revealed the news on their official Twitter account, with a statement that read: "As Roma have exercised the option to acquire Antonio Rudiger."
He signs a four-year deal with the Serie A side and now heads to France to represent Joachim Low's side in Euro 2016.
