Alloa Athletic 2 - 1 East Fife: Alloa's fine start continues against East Fife
Posted Sunday, August 21, 2016 by PA
Alloa continued their blistering start to the Ladbrokes Scottish League One season as East Fife were cast aside 2-1.
Iain Flannigan and Greig Spence struck just before half-time as free-scoring Alloa, who netted nine goals in their first two league matches, continued to make an early-season statement.
Flannigan grabbed the opener after 37 minutes when his free-kick went in via a deflection and moments later the away defence failed to clear and Spence was on hand to score.
Kevin O'Hara claimed a late consolation for the visitors when he tapped home a Tony Wallace assist for his first goal of the season.
