Following his summer move to the Etihad Stadium from Palmairas, Gabriel Jesus admitted Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola played a huge role in his decision to choose the Premier League.
A number of Europe's biggest clubs had been tracking the Brazilian youngster, who alongside new Inter striker Gabigol, is seen as one of the brightest talents his country has produced in years.
Costing 31 million euros, Jesus was part of a real squad overhaul by Guardiola as he prepared for his debut campaign in England after leaving Bayern Munich, and on Wednesday he said the Catalan coach helped sell the project to him.
"It was a difficult decision, but Guardiola's presence and knowing Manchester City are a big club were important factors," he told the Guardian.
"A call from Guardiola made me realise, although I still don't know him personally, I feel confident in wanting to play for him."
The 19-year-old will join the current Premier League leaders in January.
