Steven Gerrard has rejected the chance to manage MK Dons
The struggling League 1 club had offered the Liverpool legend a fast-track into management after sacking Karl Robinson.
He spoke to chairman Pete Winkleman but decided it was too soon to make the jump from playing to becoming the manager.
Steven Gerrard has left LA Galaxy
Gerrard is weighing up his options after leaving LA Galaxy and has been linked with a return to Liverpool in the backroom set up.
He told BT Sport: "I'm just taking a bit of time to consider what's next.

"It's exciting times moving forward.
"I spoke to them [MK Dons] I had a chat with the chairman. I think it's a ver exciting job for someone else.
"I think it's a bit too soon for me but it's true, I did speak to them, yes."
MK Dons are 21st in League 1 after 19 games played.
