Blackpool manager Gary Bowyer expects Kyle Vassell to rejoin his squad for the clash with Newport at Bloomfield Road.
The in-form forward, who already has 10 goals this term, missed Tuesday's loss to Mansfield after picking up a knock but Bowyer said he is "confident" it will only be a one-game absence.
Goalkeeper Dean Lyness is expected to rejoin training on either Friday or Monday having been out since mid-October with an ankle injury.
Other than Lyness, Jack Redshaw (shin splints) will be the only player on the sidelines for the Seasiders.
Newport midfielder Mark Randall hopes to make a return to the Exiles' starting line-up.
Randall had not featured for almost a month following hamstring trouble until he came on in the closing stages of Tuesday night's 1-0 home defeat to Wycombe.
Defender Kyle Cameron is back in training after missing two matches through injury and Jon Parkin has an outside chance of being involved, while fellow forwards Reece Grego-Cox and Marlon Jackson are also not too far away from returning.
But Paul Bignot is still suspended and long-term absentees Lenell John-Lewis, Joss Labadie and Jamie Turly are still ruled out.
