Sergio Aguero has been banned for four games
PEP GUARDIOLA says Kelechi Iheanacho can step into the breach left by Sergio Aguero during the packed Christmas programme.
Aguero was given a four-match ban for Saturday's red card against Chelsea but Iheanacho was on target in last night's draw against Celtic.
Manager Pep Guardiola said: "There is no pressure on Kelechi – he just has to do his job. But everybody will help us to score goals."
Iheanacho said: "I was pleased to score but now I have a responsibility to be the striker and replace Sergio."
A lively tie on the field was marred by 13 arrests inside and outside the ground, with some Celtic fans finding their way into the home support as scuffles broke out.
On-loan City player Patrick Roberts was on target for Celtic and boss Brendan Rodgers is in no doubt he can make it back at the Etihad.
"He has the quality," said Rodgers. "I'm sure Pep will have a real good look at him."
