Torino 1 - 0 Genoa: Belotti's 13th of the season helps Torino go into winter break on winning note

Andrea Belotti heads into the winter break second in the Serie A scoring charts after restoring Torino to winning ways with his goal in a 1-0 victory over Genoa.

The Granata resisted two first-half attempts from Giovanni Simeone before Italy striker Belotti made the breakthrough in the 49th minute, his 13th league goal of the season leaving him a single strike behind Inter Milan's Mauro Icardi.

Torino, who had lost three straight games to lose their grip on a Europa League place, might have rubber-stamped the outcome at the death but Eugenio Lamanna made a stunning save to deny Belotti.
