Preston North End vs Leeds - Jermaine Beckford unlikely to start against former club Leeds

Jermaine Beckford is unlikely to be recalled by Simon Grayson as the pair host former club Leeds at Deepdale.

Beckford, along with Eoin Doyle, returns from suspension this weekend following their on-field clash, but the pair are likely to remain on the sidelines following two wins out of their last three.

Bailey Wright's uncertain future at the club continues after he was left out of the win over Bristol City, with Paul Huntingdon filling in in the centre of defence.

Aiden McGeady came through unscathed following a groin problem, but Paul Gallagher (calf), Stevie May (knee), Jon Welsh (calf) and Calum Woods (knee) all remain absent.

Leeds' leading goalscorer Chris Wood is hoping to return to action after missing last week's home win over Brentford due to a hamstring strain.

Pablo Hernandez returned to full training last week after being sidelined since mid-October with a hamstring problem and although not risked against Brentford he could be included in the squad.

Fellow midfielder Eunan O'Kane will also be assessed after missing the last four games due to a groin injury and left-back Charlie Taylor is another who will be monitored after he sustained an Achilles injury last weekend.

Skipper Liam Bridcutt could be in contention for his first start since September after recovering from a fractured bone in his foot.
