Ronaldo presents 4th Ballon D’Or to Bernabeu
Real Madrid do a Ballon D’Or party like no one else.
The Spanish club put great store and prestige in the award, and shower their winners with love and praise.
And with Cristiano Ronaldo winning his fourth Golden Ball last month, you just knew Florentino Perez would roll out the red carpet.
Perez invited all of Madrid’s previous Ballon D’Or winners along for Ronaldo’s ceremonial presentation: Raymond Kopa, Ronaldo Nazario, Zinedine Zidane, Luis Figo and Michael Owen (who won it with Liverpool).
Ronaldo loved Kaka’s message
Ronaldo was also treated to a video message from former teammates Kaka’ and Fabio Cannavaro, who congratulated him on the gong.
And Ronaldo was completely chuffed at the sight of Kaka’; he looked genuinely surprised and moved.
The pair of course signed for Madrid in the same summer, and were good friends during their time together at the Bernabeu.
