Fernando Llorente is poised to join Chelsea on loan

Antonio Conte has launched a surprise move for striker Llorente, 31, who he worked with during his time at Juventus.

Starsport understands a loan deal until the end of the season has been agreed.

Conte is worried about the lack of options to cover Diego Costa and sees Llorente as the ideal deputy.

The Spaniard’s departure leaves a big void to fill at Swansea, who are desperately scrapping for their Premier League lives.

But Starsport understands a deal has been done for Batshuayi’s brother - Aaron Leya Iseka - to arrive in his own loan deal.

Iseka, 19, is considered one of Belgium’s brightest young talents.

He has spent time on loan at Marseille this season from Anderlecht but things didn’t work out in France.

Iseka had a troubled time in Ligue 1 and didn’t score a goal in his eight games at the club.

He fell out of favour in November after missing the Marseille team bus before a game at Montpellier.

Iseka subsequently drove to Marseille's Marignane airport despite coach Rudi Garcia telling the players to meet at the club's training centre to travel together.

But now Iseka is going to be given his big Premier League chance - not that it’ll help his brother.

Fernando Llorente is said to be an unlikely target for Swansea

The arrival of Llorente is set to push Batshuayi further down the Blues pecking order.

Conte handed the £33m summer signing his first start for the Blues since October against Peterborough.

When asked how he felt the 23-year-old played, Conte said: "Michy played a good game. He showed me great commitment.

"It's always important to score for the confidence. But he has to continue to work. He's working a lot and improving. He must continue in this way.

"He gives me that opportunity to have another solution."

Llorente has yet to set the world alight since his summer move to Swansea from Sevilla, netting six goals and starting only 13 Premier League games

Starsport can also reveal skipper John Terry plans to stay at the Chelsea and see out the final months of his contract, despite slipping down the Stamford Bridge pecking order.

It is understood new Swansea boss, Paul Clement - a friend of the 36-year-old from his time at the Blues - looked into asking the former England skipper to spend the rest of the season with him.

But it is believed Terry - who was sent off against Peterborough in his first start for 10 weeks - wants to stay at Stamford Bridge, where he could pick a fifth title winner’s medal.

Terry is not thought to be keen on disrupting his family life so late in his career, which also appears to rule out a big-money move to China.

Chelsea tonight confirmed they are appealing against Sunday’s dismissal.

Terry was adjudged to be last man when he fouled Lee Angol and was shown a straight red by referee Kevin Friend.

He wrote on Instagram on Sunday: “I will be appealing and hope the FA and the ref will look at it and realise I didn’t touch Lee Angol.”
