Manchester United Have The Weirdest Club Partnership Ever

In the current climate, football clubs have partners for absolutely everything.

From betting partners to tyre partners, there all sorts of links for the big clubs as they look to branch out globally in terms of their brand.

Manchester United, arguably the biggest club in the world, are an example of a club who have a number of big partnerships with leading brands.

But they also have one of the weirdest club partnerships ever and it came to light during last night's 2-0 win over Hull City in the EFL Cup.

During the game, where goals from Juan Mata and Marouane Fellaini clinched a first-leg win for Jose Mourinho's side, an electronic advertising board showed United's official tractor partner.

Yes you read that right, Manchester United have an official tractor partner.

The company who serve as United's official tractor partners is Japanese business Yanmar - with the partnership extended back in March 2016 at an event where United legend Dwight Yorke was present.

The link is so strong that there is even an official Manchester United tractor. It's genuinely a thing.

But a lot of fans weren't aware of their big partnership until last night and they reacted on social media.

"Manchester United has an official tractor. Of course they do.

"Yanmar is the 'Official Tractor Partner of Manchester United'....I love my club but we're laughable at times #Mufc
- Gary Dunne (@Gary_Dunne) January 11, 2017"

The club have also had official noodles and pillow partners in the past and the hat-trick of weird sponsors continues with the association with agricultural company Yanmar.

It's all about making the brand bigger and bringing more money in, I guess.

As for what happens to the tractors, I reckon Rooney and the rest of the team just have a cruise around after a big win.
