Jack Wilshere's Arsenal future in serious doubt - contracts talks yet to happen
Jack Wilshere and Arsene Wenger are yet to discuss a new contract for the Arsenal star

Starsport can reveal the Gunners have made no new efforts to get him to extend his contract at the club.

England ace Wilshere was loaned to Bournemouth at the start of the season after Gunners boss Arsene Wenger told him he could not guarantee him first-team football.

And it is understood there has been no contact from the club over a new deal, despite the north Londoners initially indicating they wanted to open talks.

Wilshere is already considering what to do at the end of the season, feeling that he may have to look for a new club, even though he still has 18 months left on his contract.

Milan have already made their interest known as have Everton with Manchester City also considering making a move in the summer.

But while Wilshere's future is in the balance, Gunners team-mates Olivier Giroud, Laurent Koscielny and Francis Coquelin have all signed new deals.

Like Wilshere they all had 18 months left on their existing deals.

"We are very pleased that three important members of our team have committed to us for the long term," Gunners boss Arsene Wenger said.

"Francis has made tremendous technical strides over the past few years because he's so focused every day.

"Olivier has big experience in the game now and has become a more and more complete player since joining us.

"Laurent is of course a key part of our squad and I believe one of the best defenders in the world today. So overall, this is great news for us."
