Jamie Carragher Jokingly Announces He’s Coming Out of Retirement For China Move

Jamie Carragher has jokingly announced that he's coming out of retirement to play in China.

It's either that or he really has been hacked by someone.

The Liverpool legend hasn't kicked a ball since ending his illustrious career at Anfield in 2013.

Since then, he's spent the majority of his time working with Sky Sports as part of their top punditry team and has turned out in the occasional charity game.

So we were surprised when we saw Carragher announce via Twitter this morning that he was coming out of retirement to play in China:

Thinking about it, a switch to China seems like the last thing someone like Carragher would do - but given the money being thrown about by Super League clubs, you can't rule anything out.

But Carra quickly followed up that tweet by claiming that he's been hacked:

Carragher had a legendary career at Liverpool, playing 737 times for the club as he won 11 major trophies.

If he was still in that career, you'd think he would interest teams in China - but, sadly for his bank balance, the opportunity has come just too late in his career.
