Paris Saint-Germain have sent rising star Jonathan Ikone out on loan to Montpellier until the end of the season in order to secure the youngster some game time.
The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract with the Parisians last June, but will now ply his trade at Montpellier, who do not have an option to buy, as he aims to gain match experience and help aid in his development.
Ikone joined the club's youth academy in July 2010, and went on to win the U17 European Championship with France in 2015.
The attacking midfielder has made seven first-team appearances for PSG this season, four in Ligue 1, one in the Champions League, and two in the Coupe de la Ligue.
