Something for someone to get something about
Depending on how his contract stand-off pans out, Alexis Sanchez may not be regarded as a massive hero to Gooners. But now, pre-nah-I'm-gonna-leave-gate, he's the bee's knees.
Everything he touches turns to gold, including two retrievers named Atom and Humber. You'd have to be a heartless so-so to not fall in love with the dogs who dominate the Chilean's social media pages. But is a banner too far? Are we going to be outraged about this? I'm typing with my fists now.
Aren't they good boys, though?
Having smashed the last laptop to smithereens, I'm working on a previous draft with a mellowed out approach to reporting 'news'. Yes, that's right. The dogs have their own banner hanging in the Emirates, home of good humour.
It shows Sanchez in between the two smiling dogs with the caption reading 'GOOD BOYS'. It's a sweet, wholesome addition to the ground, we say. Mind you, if Sanchez doesn't sign that deal then those dogs can expect hate mail.
Arsenal face Burnley at the Emirates on Sunday. They can potentially go second this weekend.
