Wayne Rooney's goalscoring record for Manchester United may never be surpassed in our lifetime.

The Red Devils striker surpassed Bobby Charlton's record for the famous club by bagging his 250th United goal against Stoke, and it got us thinking about who might be in a position to break Rooney's record.

And while we can't anticipate many future United stars, what are odds on it being one of his three boys – Kai, Klay or Kit?

The good news for any betting Nostradamuses is that you can now stick some money on it being one of Rooney's lads, with odds of 1000/1 on it being any of the three kids.

Sun Bets have a market open on Wayne and Coleen's three sons – with equal odds of 3000/1 for the individual bets on it being one of Kai, Klay or Kit.

Seven-year-old Kai Rooney is already making his first steps in his Dad's shadow, controversially training with the Manchester City youngsters last December, whilst Klay Rooney has also shown off his skills in the past.

Kit is literally named after the thing Wayne wears every Saturday, so he's got football in his blood.

Sun Bets' Head of PR Tim Reynolds says that while it's highly unlikely, we could see two Rooneys at the top of the United scoring charts in 30 years' time.
