Midfielder Scott Wagstaff faces a late fitness test ahead of Gillingham's League One clash with AFC Wimbledon.

The 26-year-old sat out Saturday's 2-1 loss to Coventry and remains a doubt for the midweek Wimbledon meeting.

Bournemouth loan striker Joe Quigley could return after a knee ligament problem.

Defender Aaron Morris remains a long-term absentee with a knee injury, though another Bournemouth loanee, winger Harry Cornick, is closing in on full fitness after a groin strain.

Defender Will Nightingale will push for a start for AFC Wimbledon after stepping up his return from knee trouble by taking a seat on the bench in the weekend's 2-1 loss at Shrewsbury.

Jon Meades and Dean Parrett could be in contention to return after both have suffered ankle injuries, so should face late checks in training.

Boss Neal Ardley is also hoping to have Chris Whelpdale back in training after a knock.

Captain Barry Fuller remains sidelined with a torn pectoral muscle.
