Peterborough United vs Rochdale - Key duo remain suspended for Peterborough

Posted Thursday, February 23, 2017 by PA

Peterborough remain without duo Chris Forrester and Anthony Grant as they welcome Rochdale in Sky Bet League One.

Forrester received a two-game ban after being sent off against Walsall and Grant picked up his 10th yellow card of the season in the same game.

Posh midfielder Jermaine Anderson (knee) is continuing his recovery and hopes to start running again next week and Harry Anderson (knee) is nearing a return to fitness.

Gwion Edwards left the field on a stretcher in the defeat to the Saddlers but Peterborough have confirmed the injury does not look as bad as first thought and he is expected to be out for up to eight weeks.

Rochdale are unlikely to have any of their injured players back for the trip to London Road.

Striker Steven Davies, who signed a new contract in midweek, is making good progress in his recovery from a knee operation but is not yet ready to return.

Midfielder Matty Lund (knee) and defender Joe Bunney (foot) are also recovering well but manager Keith Hill does not want to rush them back.

Hill has said he wants to make a strong charge in the final 10 games of the season and is therefore not yet willing to take fitness gambles.
