Preston North End vs Queens Park Rangers - Marnick Vermijl to miss out against QPR
Posted Thursday, February 23, 2017 by PA
Preston will be without Marnick Vermijl against QPR at Deepdale.
The full-back, who has not played since January, has had an operation on a hernia problem and could miss the next month for North End.
With Alex Baptiste (knee) still sidelined as well, Tyias Browning will likely continue to operate at right-back for Simon Grayson's side.
Paul Gallagher (thigh) returned to training last Friday and will be back in the squad again after a full week of work with the first team.
Rangers boss Ian Holloway may have to change a winning team.
Holloway named an unchanged side against Wigan in midweek following their 4-1 win at Birmingham, but midfielder Grant Hall went off with a facial injury in the first half of the 2-1 victory.
Full-back Jack Robinson is in contention after playing 90 minutes for the Under-23s on Monday following a hamstring injury.
Centre-half Steven Caulker is still not fit after a hip problem.
