The Bundesliga champions capitalised on RB Leipzig's draw with Augsburg on Friday night to go seven points clear at the top of the table
Bayern Munich were rarely troubled by Koln as they picked up a 3-0 win to go seven points clear of RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga.
Leipzig drew 2-2 with Augbsurg on Friday night and goals in either half from Javi Martinez and Juan Bernat made the difference to see Carlo Ancelotti's side increase their lead.
Martinez opened the scoring when he got on the end of an Arturo Vidal cutback and put it into the top corner.
Bernat doubled Bayern's adantage just three minutes into the second half when Thomas Muller found him with an excellent long pass, and the full-back found the net thanks to a deflection.
Koln registered just two shots in the second period as a dominant Bayern rarely needed to move up a gear, and ended the game with fine team move and a casual finish from Franck Ribery.
