7M - Always no trophy, who's responsible for Gunners?

Arsenal were eliminated from the UEFA Champions League in the round of 16 for the 7th consecutive season, after being crushed 2-10 on aggregate by Bayern Munich. In the more than 20 years' history, Premier League teams have never been knocked out with such big score disparity. These two defeats really make Arsene Wenger's side the most humiliated Premier League team in UEFA Champions League. Last England drubbing was back to 1960, when Wolves were thrashed 2-9 on aggregate by Barcelona. Now, the Gunners have set a new record.

Then, who should be blamed? What on earth that makes Arsenal always stay at the last-16 stage?

Maybe someone will say, destiny.

Even though they have played extremely hard to conquer tough opponents like Paris Saint Germain to secure top place of the group, the Gunners picked out a draw to face Bayern Munich, NO.2 in their group unfortunately. As traditional giants in England, Arsenal have never won a "big ears" trophy. Therefore, they might be lacking of confidence in European tournaments.

Others may say, Wenger, with 20 years in charge of Arsenal.

7M - Always no trophy, who's responsible for Gunners?

The 67-year-old professor suffers a disastrous decline in the heart of the fans. Some of them even chanted "Wenger out!" before the the match and held up banners at the Emirates Stadium. Obviously, one after another season collapses make the supporters be heart-broken.

It's true that Wenger leads the team to keep consistent records and hold the high economic benefits over the years, which can hardly be done by other coaches. However, who can endure a top-flight team without a major trophy in such long years? No one will be content with only the ranking of the last 16 in Champions League and top 4 in the Premier League for consecutive seasons. Stable but mediocre results were not good enough for Arsenal in no matter league games or European games.

What about the players? Did you notice the smirking of star player Alexis Sanchez in the 1-5 defeat?

In the 73rd minute of the 2nd leg, when Arsenal fell 1-2 behind Bayern, Wenger made a decision of substituting Sanchez. The Chilean left the pitch without angry and waved to the fans although his manager replaced him in a maybe incorrect moment. Even more shocking, when Carlo Ancelotti's side smashed the 5th goal, Sanchez on the bench put a mysterious grin.

A smile can represent happy, angry and even heart-broken. At least, competitive Sanchez should not be happy at that time. We can more or less feel the disappointment of Arsenal players.

Recently, there are rumours about players' leaving in the squad, including Sanchez, Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, which were grievous news for them.

However...

Back-in-form Arsenal comfortably defeated Lincoln City 5-0 in the FA Cup quarter-finals. Football world has been always unpredictable.

Wexit? WEXIT?! What's that mean?

Some fans want Arsene Wenger to stay. Some want the Frenchman to leave. Can Wenger save his career with this life-saving straw?

We have to acknowledge the fact that FA Cup might not be the trophy Arsenal need mostly. So how can Wenger get through the critical time with the club?
