Wycombe Wanderers vs Plymouth Argyle - Injuries ease for Wycombe boss Ainsworth

Wycombe boss Gareth Ainsworth hopes to welcome back a number of players for the Sky Bet League Two match with Plymouth at Adams Park as his side look to extend their three-match unbeaten run.

Aaron Pierre lasted 90 minutes as he made his comeback in the Chairboys defence in Saturday's goalless draw with Blackpool, while midfielder Sam Saunders came off the bench for the last couple of minutes and could be included in the starting line-up.

Fellow midfielder Dom Gape was an unused substitute last time out as he continues his recovery from injury, while Paul Hayes and Scott Kashket both missed out again and Tuesday's match could come too soon.

Meanwhile, Anthony Stewart, who sustained a knee ligaments injury against Colchester last month, could be sidelined for the rest of the season.

Promotion candidates Argyle are hoping to build on Saturday's 2-0 victory over Mansfield after putting their shock 3-0 home defeat to Blackpool behind them.

Derek Adams' second-placed side trail league leaders Doncaster by four points with 10 matches remaining.

Key strikers Matty Kennedy (knock) and Antoni Sarcevic were both sidelined last time out and will be assessed ahead of the game.

Defender Jakub Sokolik continues his comeback from a groin injury after playing the full 90 minutes against the Stags but midfielder Connor Smith (ankle) is still unavailable - although he has returned to training.
