Alexis Sanchez could leave Arsenal in the summer
BAYERN MUNICH are reportedly plotting a raid on Arsenal for Alexis Sanchez.
Arsenal have put on contract talks for Alexis Sanchez on hold until the end of the season.
The Chilean who is out of contract next year, has stalled over signing a new deal.
Recent reports have suggested Inter Milan have already held exploratory talks over a summer deal for the 28-year-old.
But according to Spanish paper Sport, Bayern are keen to swoop for Sanchez.
Although no figures have been disclosed, it is said Carlo Ancelotti views the all-action forward as the perfect player to help them achieve European dominance.
Despite reaching four of the past five Champions League finals, the Bundesliga giants have only won the competition once - against Borussia Dortmund in 2013.
Ancelotti, it is believed, is also keen to freshen up his squad to maintain their domestic dominance.
The report suggests Bayern will pursue Real Madrid star James Rodriguez if they can't land Sanchez.
Rodriguez is expected to leave the Bernabeu at the end of the season after falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane, and he has attracted interest from Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
